This is our standard massage. This massage uses techniques that are specifically designed to relax muscles using long stokes, kneading, and effleurage (gliding stokes with the palms thumb and or fingertips) movements which aid in providing total relaxation to the body. Steam therapy is used in this treatment for added relaxation. This massage increases circulation, stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical and is a recommended regiment for stress management.

The same massage movements are used in this massage as in Swedish massage. The difference in this massage is that essential oils are used in the oil placed on the client's body and in our steam therapy treatment. Choices of lavender, peppermint, or orange mango aromatic scents are available to create calm, relaxed, frame of minds. The use of selected aromatherapy oils affects mood and promotes good help.

Deep Tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscles. This massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as the Swedish massage but the pressure willMarch 12, 2009 as it focuses on relieving chronic muscle tension or knots through slower strokes and more deep pressure. This massage also helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. Deep Tissue massage may cause some soreness directly afterwards or the day following the massage but provides effective results. This massage may be somewhat uncomfortable than a classic Swedish massage.

This massage takes place in our Dual room. Clients are massaged in a private large space together that has been designed to provide the ambience necessary for celebrating a special occasion or just "hanging out" together. Clients can choose from Swedish, Deep Tissue or Aromatherapy Massages .

A pressure point massage to the hands or feet. This treatment is based on the belief that there are reflex areas on the feet and hands corresponding to all the parts of the body including major organs. It is believed that applMarch 12, 2009fect internal organs and body systems and therefore promote good health. Reflexology beliefs also suggest that the application of pressure point massage techniques to the hand and feet will allow the body to come into balance causing it to promote natural healing. Reflexology feels great and it relaxes the entire body. Reflexology has been known to help relieve pain associated with migraines, sinus problems, breathing disorders, digestive problems, circulatory problems, back problems, tension and stress.

The use of smooth Basalt stones (a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well) to relax muscles and relieve tension. The application of heat from the stones helps relieve sore muscles, helping to alleviate the stiffness brought on by the every day stresses of life. It is a deeply soothing, relaxing form of massage especially helping tight muscles to relax. Traditional strokes of Swedish massage while holding a heated stone are used to massage the body. When the stone cools, the therapist replaces it with a heated stone. The therapist may also leave heated stones in specific points along your spine or in the palms of your hand or even between your toes to improve the flow of energy in your body. The heat of the stones helps muscles to relax more quickly than in a traditional massage.

A therapeutic massage done after the first trimester (12 weeks) of pregnancy and focusing on the special needs of the soon to be mom. The massage enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue. Benefits of pre-natal massage include relaxation, decreased insomnia, and stress relief on weight bearing joints, such as ankles, lower back and pelvis. This massage will also help in preparing the muscles used during childbirth, provide neck and back pain relief, reduce swelling in hands and feet, lessened sciatic pain, fewer calf cramps, and headache and sinus congestion relief. Celestial Spa uses a Pregnancy pillow which allows the client to lay flat on her stomach without experiencing any pressure to the stomach area and allowing her to enjoy the full benefits of a comfortable massage.
Sports Massage	*60 min*		$75
This is a special form of massage typically done before, during and after athletic events. The purpose of the massage is to help alleviate the stress and tension, which builds up in the body's soft tissues during physical activity. The massage will help prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries. Sports massage helps heal strained muscles and allow healthy ones to reach peak performance and maintain it while minimizing the risk of injury. Stretch techniques are included in this massage.
Back Facial Treatment	*60 min*		$75
This treatment is ideal for clients that need both stress relief and a purifying cleansing for the back. It is our facial on the back. The treatment begins with two deep cleanses done under steam therapy followed by a mineral salt exfoliation scrub, a shoulder, neck, upper and lower back massage, closing with a hydrating masque and body hydrating cream. Minor extractions are included if needed and a relaxing foot therapy massage takes place while back is re-hydrating under the customized masque treatment.
Chocolate Massage (new)	*120 min*		$195
This is a two hour treatment that combines a full body polish and relaxing chocolate treatment together. This treatment begins with an entire body exfoliation for the removal of dead cell build up and debris from the body. The exfoliating crystals are removed with warm steamed towels on a heated spa bed for added comfort. Warm dark unsweetened chocolate imported from Italy is applied directly to the body and Swedish massage techniques are incorporated to provide stress relief to fatigued and tired muscles. The chocolate is removed with warm steamed towels and the client is directed to the shower for removal of residue. After returning to spa room from shower, a lightly scented chocolate hydrating cream is massaged onto the body making this the ultimate in relaxation while providing moisturizing nutrients to the body. Benefits of dark chocolate to the body also include firming, toning, tightening effects along with the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment is a great stress reliever with benefits lasting as much as five to seven days.
